Keep in mind that it is possible for some doctors to be falsely accused even though most sexual misconduct cases by physicians in the news are indeed true.

Dr. Barry King

Specialty: OB/GYN

City / Location: Grand Junction, CO

He is accused of dying a breast cancer survivor's private parts purple as a "joke" for her husband. But this joke was far from funny, it was sexual assault. Some other women say they woke up from surgery to find their genital area had been dyed purple by their doctor as a joke too. Dr. King was able to keep his medical license, although the Colorado Medical Board wrote a letter of admonition for "unprofessional conduct." The board required him to take a course on professional boundaries and ethics. He also performed 100 hours of useful public service, wrote a letter of apology to the victim and gave $500 to the Western Slope Center for Children. The medical board should have permanently suspended his license.
